Leading UK Automation Solutions provider seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer with excellent reputation for successfully delivering complete turnkey projects – multiple industries.

Control Systems Engineer

£50,000 - £60,000 + £6k Car Allowance & Bonus & Healthcare.

£10M T/O Business. Projects up to £3M. Hybrid Role.

Senior Control Systems Engineer – The Role:

• Total engineering & commercial responsibility for projects, from initial handover to completion & beyond, providing high quality service to customers
• Take complete ownership of the project at handover stage & maintain responsibility for all activities, including those delegated to other staff/sub-contractors
• Detailed software design including product selection
• Comply with all relevant standards & work to the Company’s ISO9001:2008 registered quality procedures
• Carry out regular reviews of the project & ensure that delivery & other milestones are met
• Liaise closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure that all purchases are made ensuring that the time constraints of the project are maintained & such purchases are competitively priced
• Organise CAD, manufacturing test, despatch & commissioning activities during the course of the project
• Visits to customer sites where required to ensure smooth flow of the project
• On-site commissioning of completed project, if required

Senior Automation Engineer – The Person:

• Previous experience of industrial PLC control systems with experience of the following:
• PLC experience required in Siemens S7/Rockwell ControlLogix
• Variable Speed Drives – Siemens/Rockwell/ABB/Control Techniques
• SCADA – Siemens WinCC/Rockwell RSView/ Wonderware InTouch/iFIX
• Strong communication skills & excellent team playing abilities
• Ability to successfully run projects

The position is based in Telford, commutable from Wolverhampton, Newport, Shrewsbury, Chester and areas of Shropshire. They offer hybrid working, office 3 days per week.
