Control Systems Engineer - The Role:

  • PLC programming using Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens
  • Liaise with customers and provide telephone support
  • Carry out risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Carry out installation testing and documentation
  • Creation of machine technical manuals
  • Work in the UK and overseas

 

In addition, work will include

  • Robot programming using ABB, Motoman
  • SCADA programming using RSView32, WinCC, MX4
  • HMI programming using FactoryTalk, WinCC, E Designer, Proface

 

Control Systems Engineer - The Person:

  • It is ESSENTIAL you are competent with PLC/HMI software design – Rockwell OR Siemens. Additional experience of Mitsubishi very helpful
  • Panel design, SCADA & Robotics experience are highly advantageous but not essential
  • Working autonomously and remaining calm under pressure are key

 

This role offers an interesting and varied project base. Projects are both UK & international – all commissioning trips are planned in advance with c25% of your time on-site. They operate a 38 hour week with a 12pm finish on a Friday.

 

You will be working in the office full time during probation period, however once established, there is scope for remote working depending on stage of project.

 

This is a small team with a Technical Director keen on expansion. Engineers are encouraged to remain active within all parts of the process. There will be plenty of opportunity available for you to further develop skills with other technology such as SCADA & Robotics to complement your PLC & HMI skills.

 

Located in the North West, we are looking for Control Engineers located within and around the following areas: Burnley, Keighly, Blackburn, Preston or Clitheroe.
