Join a dynamic and growing engineering team at a well-established automation specialist. With over 60 years of industry experience and a £15M turnover, this company designs and builds custom automated machinery for the FMCG sector—and they're looking for talented Control Systems Engineers to support their expanding global projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this hands-on, full-lifecycle role, you’ll work closely with electricians, panel builders, and clients to design, build, program, and commission cutting-edge control systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing PLC-based electrical control systems from customer specifications
• Programming PLC, HMI, and safety relay systems
• Configuring remote I/O, servo motors, and inverter drives
• Integrating vision systems and ancillary equipment into automation lines
• Conducting fault-finding on control systems and PLC hardware
• On-site commissioning, service, and technical support (with travel)

What You’ll Need

• HNC/HND (or higher) in Electrical or Control Engineering
• Solid understanding of PLC-based control systems
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron platforms
• Familiarity with vision systems and SCADA beneficial
• Industry experience in pharma or ATEX environments is a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally (~20%, 1–2 weeks at a time)
