Our client, a leading provider of innovative robotic solutions and bespoke factory automation systems, are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team.

Electrical Design Engineer

£30,000 - £45,000 + Pension & 25 Holidays + BHS

Opportunity to work in a variety of sectors including Industrial, Medical, Automotive, Plastics & Aerospace

Projects ranging from £50k - £2m

• Design machine control systems from concept through to final detailed stage to fulfil customer specifications
• Involved with the planning, organising and managing of meetings with customers in conjunction with the Project Leader
• Specifying and competitively obtaining quotations for the purchasing of components
• Communicate and report on project progress
• Solve problems and initiate corrective actions as required ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget
• Observe and comply with company management systems, ISO9001 quality systems and CE/UKCA Safety Standards
• Assist with the preparation and compiling of manuals and other related documents
• Creation of a full set on Electrical Schematics including BOM’s to company standards
• Assist in the control specification & sequencing documents.

Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:

• Experience creating electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical software - proficiency with EPlan would be an advantage
• Hold suitable engineering qualifications to degree standard or equivalent with several years’ relevant experience
• Be innovative and creative
• Able to work at the conceptual level to create designs
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team, and enthusiastically join in team activities
• Display leadership through personal example
• Be effective at problem solving and good at getting others to contribute to the problem-solving process
• Be a good communicator with good listening and good presentation skills
• Have a “can do” attitude and be self-motivated to achieve exceptional results
• Have excellent time management and able to work to tight deadlines
