Leading supplier of processing & packaging equipment solutions for the food industry are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide professional service & support to customers with equipment installation, startup, repairs, and maintenance.

Field Service Engineer

£40-45k + Expenses, Bonus

Field Service Engineer - The Role:

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and necessary training
• Identify, analyse failures, determine causes of operating errors & remedy problems
• Record Activity by completing service reports recording repairs & maintenance
• Travel to suppliers for training, updates, FAT’s & the support of customer visits
• Communicate regularly with service leads, customers, sales, field engineers and engineering department
• Active knowledge of proper tool selection and troubleshooting techniques necessary for installs, repairs and equipment maintenance
• Adhere to all safety guidelines both from the company & customer

Field Service Engineer - The Person:

• 2-4 years’ experience in the field or related area
• Apprenticeship trained or equivalent electro-mechanical experience
• Previous experience & knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics & motor control circuitry
• PLCs with Ladder Logic knowledge would be an advantage
• Must be able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams
• Customer relations management skills preferable
• Must have a valid UK Driving licence

May be a physically demanding role so must be able to stand for long periods of time, physically able to bend, squat, reach, pull and lift (sometimes large equipment), able to sit for long periods of time when travelling, able to respond quickly & adhere to all PPE guidelines.

For this role, we are looking for engineers within the greater midlands region, to cover their own area, as well as further afield when necessary
