Control Systems Engineer
£45,000 - £60,000 DOE + Hybrid Work & Pension
Glasgow – Remote 4 days a week.

Control Systems Engineer - The Role:
- PLC, DCS, SCADA programming from concept
- Site commissioning, ad hoc servicing and repair
- Instrumentation setup, calibration
- Undertake site survey visits to support sales activities
- Ensure successful delivery within budget of assigned activities
- Provide quality assurance and peer review for projects and service activities.
- Assist with internal testing / factory acceptance testing on computer systems
- Working with a wide variety of clients in sectors such as Renewables, Power Generation, Food and Beverage and FMCG.
Control Systems Engineer - The Person:
- Should have relevant software/hardware engineering background and a proven track record of systems design and implementation based around some of the following:
- PLC's (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)
- SCADA packages (Citect, Intouch, VTSCADA) + Siemens WinCC and Rockwell RSView
- Industrial networks (Modbus TCP, Ethernet-IP, DNP3, IEC61850)
- Microsoft Development Packages (Microsoft Office, SQL)
- Electrical Design Packages (AutoCAD)
- Engineering project documentation
- Cradle to Grave project management
- Qualified to HND/degree level or can demonstrate a high level of coding experience in system development.
- Comfortable working in all aspects found within a control system project life cycle
- Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Willing to work away from home for short periods, 4-6 weeks per year on average.
- Knowledge of HMI development and controls instrumentation i.e. setting up pressure transmitters, level transmitters, flow transmitters, etc.
Located in Glasgow, this role would be commutable from Clydebank, Renfrew, Paisley, Bishopton and surrounding areas and offers remote working for 4 days per week.
