Projects, Installation & Commissioning Engineer - The Role:

Projects

• Production of detailed design specifications for programming and manufacturing applications
• Development of control system hardware & software for control applications
• Specifying electrical hardware components for control systems
• Liaising with customers and sub-contractors
• Programming of PLC and SCADA applications
• Production of test specifications
• Factory and works test
• Installation and commissioning software applications.
• Design & Implementation of Fire & Gas protection systems

Installation & Commissioning

• Supporting Control / Instrumentation systems on gas-turbine driven generating sets,
• UK On-Shore located Power Stations, Off-Shore North Sea Platform locations and various international locations
• Completing all required documentation including site reports and software/product revisions to Quality Standards
• Commissioning of machines after service/maintenance visits

Projects, Installation & Commissioning Engineer - The Person:

• Good working knowledge of PLC based control systems (Rockwell and Siemens S7) with associated HMI programming.
• TUV / SUD Functional Safety qualification or equivalent
• Formal qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Very good customer relation skills required
• Prioritising workloads to deadline
• Ability to extract information from specifications
• Must hold a current, clean driving license

Advantageous Requirements

• Good knowledge of Gas Turbines, Rotating machinery and hydraulic systems.
• Minimum 1 year experience of dynamically commissioning an industrial Gas- or Steam-Turbine
• CCNSG Passport to Safety
• Offshore Vantage Card

Located in Leicestershire, this role would be commutable from Leicester, Lutterworth, Nuneaton, Loughborough & Market Harborough.
