Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

In this pivotal role, you’ll support the transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, playing a crucial role in the development and standardisation of electrical designs across projects.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Automation Department to develop and maintain EPLAN   drawing standards.
  • Creating detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and supporting documents (BOMs, Cable Schedules, Layouts).
  • Ensuring all electrical drawings are kept accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintaining a preferred components database to ensure consistency

 

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional who can thrive in a technical, project-based environment.

  • Strong experience with EPLAN P8 (Pro Panel 3D experience a plus)
  • A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree)
  • High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to design
  • Confident working across teams, including with engineers and shop floor personnel
  • Previous experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams is beneficial
