Commissioning Engineer

Mainly UK, some European Travel

£50-55k + VAN, Overtime

Commissioning Engineer- The Role:

• Commissioning and ensuring equipment operates to specification
• Conducting electrical checks, IO testing, calibration, and system validation
• Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, and carrying out repairs
• Creating and executing test procedures
• Supporting installation activities across electrical and mechanical systems
• Liaising with contractors and internal engineering teams during projects
• Providing technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
• Training client staff on operation and maintenance where required
• Producing daily site reports and progress logs
• Identifying risks/issues early and proposing solutions
• Supporting continuous improvement of operational procedures
• Carrying out routine servicing and calibration visits globally
• Working to tight deadlines in fast-paced project environments

Commissioning Engineer- The Person:

• Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, or control systems
• Experience in commissioning, testing, or field service engineering
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of industrial systems (electrical, sensors, pneumatics)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused with a professional approach
• Able to manage workload and prioritise effectively under pressure
• Proactive, self-motivated and solution-oriented
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Good IT and analytical capabilities
• Commercial awareness
• Willingness to travel and work on customer sites (UK & international)
• Flexible to work shifts and unsociable hours when required
