Senior Mechanical Fitter  

£29,000 - £32,500 + Pension OTE £48k

Senior Mechanical Fitter  - The Role:

• Construction of mechanical equipment
• Installation of equipment at customers’ locations worldwide
• Reading engineering drawings
• Fault finding and rectification
• Leading small mechanical teams
• Provide guidance and instruction within a team of fitters
• Training and development of junior fitters
• To be actively involved in task management
• Navigation of internal software to access part drawings and material requirements
• Completion T&I and BQC sheets to confirm quality standards are met
• Ownership of the designated build area
• Set standards and lead by example iSupport off-site work with the above

Senior Mechanical Fitter  - The Person:

• Significant hands-on experience of mechanical equipment, assembly, and machine building
• Experience of using hand and power tools
• MEWP & FLT qualification advantageous, training can be provided
• Proven ability to deliver projects and solve problems
• Competent in Microsoft office. Knowledge of SAP business software desirable
• Demonstrated team management experience
• City & Guilds, ONC or HNC qualification in Engineering discipline
• Apprentice training is desirable
• The successful candidate will be have team management/supervisory experience.

You MUST be flexible for international travel. All Engineers are expected to spend 3-4 periods per year on site, for 3-4 weeks at a time.

Located in Shropshire, this role is commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Stafford.
