A company at the forefront of packaging technology in the beverage sector is looking to expand their team. As an Installation/Commissioning Engineer, you will play a vital role in the organisation, responsible for commissioning, acceptance testing and ongoing support.

Installation/Commissioning Engineer  - The Role:

• Installing and commissioning new equipment at client sites, ensuring all machinery is fully operational and meets performance expectations
• Troubleshooting electrical systems, including PLCs (Mitsubishi FX5), to identify and resolve issues
• Replacing parts and upgrading systems as necessary, providing long-term reliability
• Collaborating with clients to offer technical support and recommend improvements for enhanced system performance
• Training client staff in equipment operation, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
• Managing your own schedule to efficiently meet the needs of clients across the UK, with some overnight stays required
• Completing detailed service reports to document tasks, issues, and resolutions
• Occasional on-site servicing of machines

Installation/Commissioning Engineer  - The Person:

• Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in electrical engineering with a good knowledge of automation and controls
• Experience in PLCs (Ideally Mitsubishi), including modifications and fault-finding
• Previous experience in industries such as FMCG, food & beverage, or manufacturing is essential
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to travel across the UK and internationally when required
• Full clean driving licence
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions

Based in Lancashire/Greater Manchester, this role is commute from Rochdale, Bolton, Leigh, Oldham, Wigan and Haslingden
