Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Create detailed design drawings and specifications for bespoke automated machinery using AutoDesk Inventor and CAD Software
• Be responsible for projects yourself throughout the entire life cycle
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop new product concepts and improve existing designs
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure design integrity
• Prepare technical documentation and reports
• Assist with training/up skilling junior engineers
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design engineering role
• Experience with product development and manufacturing processes is a plus
• Experience within the Automotive, Medical, Defence or Agricultural industry would be advantageous
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor and CAD software

Located in Cambridgeshire, this role would be commutable from Cambridge, Peterborough, St Neots, Sandy, Bedford and surrounding areas.
