A global engineering company is seeking a Service and Commissioning Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of advanced industrial equipment across the UK and international sites.

 

Service & Commissioning Engineer  

 

£38k + Bonus + Overtime - OTE £60-70k in Year 1!

c15% Pension + Company Car / Van

Service & Commissioning Engineer  - The Role:

  • Commissions equipment on customer sites in UK, Europe and occasionally worldwide.
  • Takes full responsibility for Health and Safety on our own on-site activities.
  • Achieves close liaison with on-site contractors and engineers and customers, in order to ensure successful completion of commissioning.
  • Responsible for the training process with customer.
  • Attends meetings with customer to provide advice and support.
  • Services equipment on customer sites in UK, Europe and occasionally Worldwide.
  • Attends emergency service calls and also planned calls to customers.
  • Liaison with all levels of client companies through the MD/Owner level.
  • Has a good knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations in order to be fully responsible for Health & Safety of equipment during commissioning.
  • Reports daily to the Service Manager on progress of service/commissioning.
  • Produces brief comprehensive reports in writing for company records.
  • Produces clear, concise verbal and written reports on issues where difficulties or disputes have arisen.

 

Service & Commissioning Engineer  - The Person:

  • ONC/HNC Electrical or minimum of City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years within an industrial machinery industry
  • Skilled in hands-on electrical engineering.
  • Experience of hydraulics and mechanics.
  • Ability to work within potentially hazardous environments.
  • Should have spent time away from home.
  • Involvement in foundry environment (advantageous).
