Innovative, family run business based in Yorkshire are now seeking a Junior EC&I Engineer to join the team working with a leading client base UK and worldwide. You will join a company offering a broad range of unique projects with a stable team.

 

Junior EC&I Engineer  

 

£40000 - £45000 + Paid Overtime, Pension, Hybrid Working, Healthcare

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Junior EC&I Engineer with some experience working within highly regulated environments. Any background supporting EPC's with electrical design work would be helpful, along with any experience working with ATEX or machinery safety.

 

Junior EC&I Engineer  - The Role:

You will work with a team of experienced EC&I Engineers to train & develop in order to complete the following:

 

  • Take part in the tendering process – review specifications, create deviation lists and negotiating scope of supply
  • Choose skid electrical components based on project specification and create the BOM – Instrument fittings, glands, cables, cable trays etc.
  • Work within the requirements of ISO9001 and ISO3834 Quality System
  • Understand contracts with respect to the electrical and instrumentation scope of supply for centrifuge packages
  • Prepare P&ID to company and customer requirements
  • Complete engineering documents such as instrument lists, IO list, cable list, interconnection diagram
  • Compile FAT & SAT documents
  • Liaise with other departments including sales, production & purchasing to ensure projects are delivered on time

 

Junior EC&I Engineer  - The Person:

  • Ideally Apprentice trained with hands-on experience of machine build
  • Electrical Design experience – AutoCAD would be great but all packages considered as training will be provided
  • Self-motivated and willing to be flexible with travel
  • Beneficial to have some mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Ideal for Engineers comfortable working within highly regulated environments with specific documentation such as Oil & Gas or Nuclear

 

The core element of this role is electrical design, however should you have additional PLC Software ability that would be advantageous.

 

This company has increased turnover by £5M over the last 12 months alone with a large amount of projects to complete.

 

Located in West Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds and surrounding areas
