Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:
- You will be working on highly integrated multi-axis machines and intelligent in-house developed systems including optical imaging, position sensors and laser-based technologies
- You will be working as part of a small team – sometimes autonomously and often with direct customer contact – on the design & optimisation of special purpose machinery capable of high accuracy and dynamic response
- Designing bespoke automated machines and systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and are delivered on time and within budget
Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:
The position is ideal for someone wishing to have broad design and development remit in satisfying customer needs through advanced digital technologies
- Hold suitable engineering qualifications - Apprentice trained is preferred
- Possess 3+ years’ experience of automated special purpose machinery design
- Be innovative, creative and be interested to work at both the conceptual and detailed level
- Work effectively both individually and as part of a team
- Proven ability with 3D CAD – SolidWorks preferred
