An excellent opportunity for an experienced & preferably Chartered Mechanical Design Engineer capable of taking a senior role with a progression plan into a Chief role within 6-12 months.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer  - The Role:

• Concept/detailed mechanical design
• Lead a team of 4 Mechanical Design Engineers
• Take a client facing role
• Be the primary point of contact for the mechanical design team

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer  - The Person:

• Solid mechanical design preferably of rotating equipment
• Be capable to carry out full mechanical calculations including tolerances, stress & FEA
• Be degree qualified and preferably Chartered
• Proven ability to lead a team of Engineers
• Proven background working for a company who design and manufacture machinery - must be able to support production/assembly
• Competent with quality assurance
• Must have experience of fatigue analysis
• Preferably experienced with dynamic balancing issues around resonant frequencies

You will be someone who enjoys the hands on aspect of mechanical design engineering alongside supporting & developing other Engineers. They are seeking candidates with the ability to keep things moving whilst being open to and interested in change, with a keenness to be ever improving.

Located in West Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds and surrounding areas.
