Electrical & Controls Engineer  - The Role:

  • Contribute to all phases of project lifecycle from concept through to completion
  • Take ownership of a project and ensure delivery to quality and programme requirements
  • Maintain high standards and be consistent throughout the design process
  • Work as part of a team and be adaptable to a range of environments
  • Surveying customer sites to determine electrical and control integration solutions
  • Specifying control panels, cable and containment routes, power and networking (copper/fibre)
  • Able to work across multiple technology platforms including modern and legacy systems (PLC, HMI, Drives)
  • Preparation of cost proposals, including specifying hardware, costing hardware and electrical equipment
  • Developing project documentation including IO Schedules, Hardware/Panel Design & Test Specifications, Cable/Termination Schedules
  • Review and approval of electrical schematics
  • Hardware and sub-contractor procurement and management, including compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
  • Attend panel FAT/PDI, review and approve against client requirements
  • Site supervision and technical co-ordination of sub-contractors
  • Test and commission safely in a working end user environment
  • Configure and develop control system application software for a wide variety of applications

 

Electrical & Controls Engineer  - The Person:

  • A broad range of technical skills
  • Minimum HNC in a relevant control, automation or electrical engineering subject

 

Located in Cheshire, this role would be commutable from Daresbury, Runcorn, Keckwick, Stretton and surrounding areas. The role will be office based and require travel to client premises in the North West for meetings and site-based project activities.
