Sales Manager - Machine Vision

£60-70k + Pension, Health Insurance, Car, Commission

Sales Manager  - The Role:

  • Lead and manage the internal sales team and external sales representatives to achieve defined quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Oversee inbound and warm leads generated through marketing
  • Work closely with engineering teams to develop detailed technical proposals and compelling sales presentations
  • Drive proactive outreach to potential customers across multiple channels
  • Build and maintain existing accounts of a global customer base
  • Engage with prospects across different sectors and geographies, understanding their challenges and effectively communicating the value our products can provide
  • Qualify leads and assess their suitability for products or services
  • Carry out meetings or demos with qualified prospects
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align lead-generation efforts
  • Assist in the development of sales scripts and outreach strategies
  • Contribute to the development of sales collateral and materials
  • Attend industry events or trade shows to network and identify potential leads
  • Support the sales team in achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets

 

Sales Manager  - The Person:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, customer management, or lead generation in a highly technical discipline
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Educated to degree level preferably in an Engineering, Business or Marketing discipline
  • Proficient in customer relationship management (CRM) software (preferably Salesforce)
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships
  • Goal-oriented mindset and a desire to meet and exceed targets
  • A logical approach to problem-solving and strong negotiation abilities
  • Well organised, ability to work to deadlines and high attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of machine vision. Any additional background of industrial manufacturing highly advantageous.

Located in Oxfordshire , this role would be commutable from within and around Reading, Didcot, Swindon and Oxford.
