Our client is a long-established and respected industrial systems integrator delivering advanced SCADA, PLC, and telemetry solutions to critical infrastructure sectors. With a growing portfolio of major utilities, manufacturing, and industrial clients, they are looking to expand their engineering team with a talented SCADA Engineer experienced in ClearSCADA (Geo SCADA Expert) platforms.

 

Clear SCADA Engineer  - The Role:

This is a key technical position supporting the full lifecycle delivery of ClearSCADA-based systems. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, configuration, integration, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems across a range of high-impact industrial projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ClearSCADA (Geo SCADA Expert) systems from concept through   commissioning
  • Configure SCADA databases, telemetry connections, mimic screens, and alarm logic
  • Interface with PLCs, RTUs, telemetry systems, and industrial communications protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC60870, etc.)
  • Produce documentation including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), test plans (FAT/SAT), and user manuals
  • Support onsite commissioning, testing, and integration activities
  • Provide ongoing technical support and contribute to continuous improvement of SCADA templates and libraries
  • Liaise with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects

 

Clear SCADA Engineer  - The Person:

  • Proven experience with ClearSCADA / Geo SCADA Expert in a project delivery or systems integration role
  • Strong understanding of industrial communications (e.g., telemetry, Modbus, DNP3, IEC protocols)
  • Experience with SCADA/PLC integration and basic electrical/control panel understanding
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation and follow structured engineering processes
  • Willingness to travel as required (typically within the UK and Ireland)
  • Experience with telemetry and remote asset monitoring for utilities, water, or energy sectors - advantageous
  •  Knowledge of scripting/customization within ClearSCADA environments
  •  Background in cybersecurity best practices for industrial networks - beneficial
