Junior Electrical Design Engineer  - The Role:

  • Assist in creating 2D electrical schematics, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams using CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical
  • Help ensure designs meet safety, compliance, and performance requirements under guidance from senior engineers
  • Collaborate with the wider engineering and production teams to support the integration of control systems into equipment and installations
  • Support the panel build process by providing documentation and clarifying design intent to the assembly team
  • Help document design changes and participate in design reviews to learn best practices and develop your skills
  • Assist during testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) stages as needed

 

Junior Electrical Design Engineer  - The Person:

  • A formal qualification in Electrical or Engineering-related discipline (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail
  • Drive to learn and develop skills in AutoCAD Electrical, and other internal systems such as ERP (training provided), as well as developing your technical knowledge in a real-world engineering environment
  • A strong sense of responsibility and pride in your work
  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Eagerness to become familiar with the company’s ERP system
