Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems and control solutions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translating customer requirements into electrical specifications and system designs
  • Producing detailed wiring diagrams and schematics using AutoCAD or similar tools
  • Selecting components with consideration to cost, quality, and compliance standards
  • Collaborating with mechanical, systems, and software teams on full system integration
  • Supporting manufacturing and working closely with external suppliers
  • Developing prototypes and contributing to testing and validation activities
  • Producing technical documentation, including layout drawings, calculations, and BOMs
  • Ensuring designs meet required standards and are delivered on time

 

Senior Electrical Design Engineer  - The Person:

 

  • Proven experience creating electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design software
  • Background of control panel design and electrical wiring
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with BOMs and engineering documentation
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and work cross-functionally

 

Based in Staffordshire, this role is commutable from surrounding areas including Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Wolverhampton, Cannock, and Derby.
