Continuous Improvement Engineer - The Role:
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects across production, maintenance, and logistics.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics including OEE, downtime, scrap reduction, and efficiency improvements.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Quality teams to eliminate waste and optimise processes.
- Deliver training and coaching to engage teams in CI activities.
- Support capital investment and automation projects from a process improvement perspective.
- Ensure all initiatives align with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Provide hands-on support with machine builds, testing, and spares/service kits and upgrades.
- Inspect manufactured items and assemblies to ensure they meet specification.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - The Person:
- A degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement, Process, or Production Engineering role.
- Knowledge of implementation of ISO9001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Mechanical knowledge, including the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage at all levels.
Located in Cambridgeshire, this role would be commutable from Huntingdon, Peterborough, St Neots, Cambridge, Ely and surrounding areas.
This role would suit an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer / CI Engineer, Quality Engineer or Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer seeking a new opportunity.
