This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer with AutoCAD Electrical experience to join a growing automation and controls environment, working on detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts and control system designs for industrial applications.

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams and 2D/3D models using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Produce control panel designs, PLC I/O drawings, cable schedules and terminal plans
  • Support panel build and wiring activities, ensuring designs are practical and buildable
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, drawing revisions and as-built records
  • Work closely with electrical, software and project engineering teams
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Support the development of standard templates, libraries and design processes

 

Electrical Design Engineer - What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical for schematic and panel design
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels and automation design
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC and BS EN
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Organised approach with good attention to detail
  • Practical understanding of panel build and electrical installation activities advantageous
