Electrical Fitter

Electrical Fitter - The Role:

  • Carry out electrical wiring of control panels and special purpose automated machinery
  • Take responsibility for wiring machine elements and electrical cabinets, including rectifications and engineering changes
  • Support machine build, assembly and initial setup, including assisting with pneumatic routing and mechanical elements
  • Assist in commissioning and development of machinery from power-on through to customer acceptance
  • Test and check electrical systems, sensors and machine functions prior to full development
  • Maintain accurate build documentation and ensure all work meets internal procedures and electrical standards
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve build and design issues
  • Support installation, testing and servicing at customer sites in the UK and occasionally overseas
  • Ensure high standards of build quality, cleanliness and presentation throughout the process

 

Electrical Fitter - The Person:

  • Experienced Electrical Fitter with strong background in machinery or automation wiring (ideally 10+ years)
  • Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship with relevant electrical qualifications
  • Confident in reading and interpreting engineering and electrical drawings
  • Solid understanding of electrical principles, safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with special purpose machinery or similar automated systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems and their integration within machinery
  • Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and build quality
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to travel or work off-site at short notice when required
  • Professional and presentable when interacting with customers

 

Located in Leicestershire, this role would be commutable from Hinckley, Loughborough, Leicester and other surrounding areas.
