Electrical Project Engineer - The Role:
- Lead and deliver electrical engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of LV/HV distribution, control, and lighting systems
- Produce technical drawings and specifications using tools such as AutoCAD
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental regulations
- Support hazardous area (ATEX) documentation and explosive environment compliance
- Manage contractors and ensure safe, high-quality project delivery
- Develop and improve engineering standards, procedures, and policies
- Support capital project planning and investment proposals
- Contribute to energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives across site
Electrical Project Engineer - The Person:
- Proven experience in electrical project engineering within an industrial or high-hazard environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems
- Familiarity with BS 7671 and safe systems of work (RAMS, PTW, etc.)
- Experience producing electrical designs and drawings (AutoCAD or similar)
- Understanding of ATEX regulations (or willingness to develop expertise)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Located in Ayrshire, this role would be commutable from Irvine, Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Ayr and Glasgow.
