Manufacturing Technician

Manufacturing Technician - The Role:

  • Build, assemble and commission bespoke test rigs from drawings and concepts
  • Manufacture parts from sketches and engineering drawings
  • Work closely with design engineers to refine and improve systems
  • Troubleshoot faults and resolve mechanical issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in design, efficiency and reliability
  • Support a variety of one-off, technically challenging R&D projects

 

Manufacturing Technician - The Person:

  • Hands-on background in a tool room, mechanical maintenance or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Skilled in problem-solving with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience using hand tools, workshop equipment and precision measuring tool (machining, basic electrical or hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge beneficial)
  • Curious, self-motivated and adaptable with high attention to detail
  • Good communicator who can collaborate effectively and manage varied tasks

 

Located in Derbyshire, this role would be commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Ripley and Loughborough.
