Controls / Electrical Design Engineer  - The Role:

• Assist in creating 2D electrical schematics, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams using CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical for bespoke control panels.
• Support PLC programming and modifications using Siemens TIA Portal (other PLC experience considered)
• Collaborate with the wider engineering and production teams to support the integration of control systems into equipment and installations
• Support the panel build process by providing documentation and clarifying design intent to the assembly team
• Help document design changes and participate in design reviews
• Assist during testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) stages as needed

Controls / Electrical Design Engineer  - The Person:

• A formal qualification in Electrical or Engineering-related discipline (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent) OR prior experience in a similar role
• Experience in AutoCAD Electrical beneficial
• Experience of concept programming on PLCs (Siemens TIA preferred)
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail
• Keen to learn and develop across both electrical design and controls.
