Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background of engineering, machinery or advanced manufacturing?

Join a specialist engineering business delivering bespoke automated machinery from initial order through to installation, commissioning and customer acceptance. You’ll coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement and assembly teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification and to the required quality standards.

Engineering Project Manager - The Role

• Take ownership of an entire automated machine product line from customer order through to final handover.
• Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and manufacturing teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with purchasing to manage components and supplier performance.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing regular project updates
• Oversee engineering changes, technical queries and project documentation.
• Coordinate installation planning, commissioning support and customer acceptance activities.
• Lead and coordinate a small build team of 3-4 Engineers

Engineering Project Manager - The Person

We’re looking for a technically minded Project Manager with experience in precision engineering, industrial machinery or advanced manufacturing.

You should have:

• Experience managing engineering or machinery projects from order through to delivery.
• Engineering background within machine building, industrial machinery, manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
• Confident coordinating multiple departments, suppliers and customers.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to solving problems.
• Commercial awareness and experience balancing customer requirements with delivery commitments.
• Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APM are beneficial but practical experience is equally valued.
• CNC machinery experience is advantageous but not essential.
