Field Service Engineer - Industrial Equipment

£40,000 - £42,000 + Expenses, Allowances, Door to Door, Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer (Multi Skilled / Mechanical Bias) with a strong background in industrial machinery?

 

This is an opportunity to join a specialist engineering business, supporting advanced manufacturing equipment throughout its operational life. You’ll work across installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding, while dealing directly with a tier 1 customer base across the UK and internationally.

 

The Role:

  • Install and commission specialist industrial equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-system faults
  • Service, repair and upgrade machinery
  • Fault-find systems involving pumps, valves, sensors, pipework and pressure/flow control
  • Test and calibrate equipment and associated systems
  • Carry out software updates and system optimisation
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support
  • Deliver operator and maintenance training
  • Complete service reports and technical documentation
  • Feed customer and field experience back into engineering teams
  • Travel approximately 50% across the UK and internationally, including overnight stays

 

The Person:

  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on commercial/industrial engineering experience
  • Background in field service, commissioning, maintenance or machinery support
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills
  • Confident fault-finder and problem solver
  • Able to read technical drawings and documentation
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and independently
  • Engineering qualification such as Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport
  • Willing to travel regularly throughout the UK and internationally

Experience with industrial automation, PLC-controlled machinery, pumps, valves, instrumentation, dosing/metering or testing and calibration would be advantageous.
