Manage complex engineering projects.

Work with specialist technology.

Are you an Engineering Project Manager looking for a role where you can take ownership, influence project outcomes and deliver technically challenging solutions for global markets?

This is an opportunity to join an established, privately owned specialist engineering business renowned for its expertise in the design and manufacture of bespoke product handling systems, including highly specialised offshore deployment and retrieval equipment.

With a strong focus on innovation, engineering excellence and continuous investment in research and development, the business delivers solutions designed to meet the demanding requirements of its customers across international markets.

You’ll take responsibility for turnkey engineering projects valued between £100K and £4M, managing the complete journey from contract award through engineering, procurement and manufacture to installation and final customer handover.

THE ROLES

This is a hands-on, commercially focused position offering real responsibility for project delivery, customer relationships and financial performance.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading projects from post-tender through to successful completion and client sign-off.
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, resources, risks and commercial performance.
  • Coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, suppliers and installation teams.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring costs, forecasts, monthly financial evaluations and project profitability.
  • Leading project meetings, workshops and progress presentations.
  • Overseeing supplier performance, procurement activities and delivery schedules.
  • Ensuring appropriate health and safety planning, risk assessments and project documentation.
  • Travelling to customer sites worldwide when required.

ABOUT YOU

You will be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering engineering projects or contracts, ideally within a manufacturing, mechanical engineering, industrial equipment or similar technical environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong project planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence managing project finances.
  • The ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or an equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

Above all, you’ll be proactive, practical and comfortable taking ownership of complex projects while balancing customer expectations, technical requirements, deadlines and budgets.

WHAT’S ON OFFER?

  • Profit-share scheme after 12 months
  • 33 days’ holiday
  • Pension
  • Monday–Thursday, 08:00–16:45
  • Friday, 08:00–12:00
