£30,000 - £50,000

Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

• Collaborate within a controls engineering team alongside software and hardware engineers
•  Create schematic drawings for control cabinets and field installations using EPLAN Pro Panel (EPLAN Electric P8 with 3D panel layouts)
•  Prepare designs for manufacture and liaise with external suppliers
•  Troubleshoot engineering issues with root cause analysis and solutions
•  Approve and sign off electrical drawings
•  Supervise Electrical Technicians and oversee machine build quality
•  Manage site queries and resolve design-related issues
•  Lead projects ranging from £80k up to £30M in value

EPlan Design Engineer – The Person:

• Experienced electrical engineer with relevant design background
• Proficient in EPLAN (training available for the right candidate)
• AutoCAD skills a plus but not essential
• Knowledge of UK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and EU Machinery Directive
• Strong understanding of automation architectures and industrial network protocols
• Extensive knowledge of ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, inverters, and control wiring
• Familiarity with safety system architectures and SISTEMA software

Located in the East Midlands, this role would be commutable from within & around Nottingham, Derby, Leicester & Grantham. Hybrid working is available with this role.
