Electrical Design Engineer - EPLAN

£40,000 - £50,000

5% pension scheme & 25 days hols.

EPlan East Midlands based.

8-4.30 Mon-Fri - Hybrid Working

Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

  • Working within the controls department team, liaising with software & hardware engineers
  • Create schematic drawings for control cabinets & field installations using EPlan Pro Panel (EPlan Electric P8 with 3D panel layouts)
  • Preparing for manufacture and working with external suppliers
  • Solving engineering problems, finding root cause, analysis and solutions
  • Approving and signing off drawings
  • Supervise Electrical Technicians and control the build of machines
  • Deal with all site queries and issues surrounding the design
  • Working on projects, without assistance, to the value of £80k to £30M

 

EPlan Design Engineer – The Person:

  • Dedicated electrical engineer with proven experience within a similar role
  • Proven EPlan skills
  • AutoCAD skills not essential but would be an advantage
  • Methodical & accurate, with excellent communication & problem solving skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work well under increased pressure for long durations to demanding deadlines
  • A sound working knowledge of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations [UK] & Machinery Directive [EU]
  • Extensive knowledge of automation architectures & network layers
  • Extensive knowledge of ProfiNET/EtherNET/IP networks
  • In-depth knowledge of inverters and control wiring
  • Experience of safety system architectures to be produced in SISTEMA

 

Located in the East Midlands, this role would be commutable from within & around Nottingham, Derby, Leicester & Grantham. Hybrid working is available with this role.
