An established and growing engineering business in Yorkshire is seeking two EC&I Engineers (open to Junior, Engineer or Senior level) to join their specialist team delivering complex, high-specification projects to clients across the UK and internationally.

EC&I Engineers - Junior/Engineer/Senior

£40,000 - £62,000 salary + Hybrid working, Overtime, Healthcare & more

You’ll play a key role in delivering electrical and control system designs for complex engineered solutions, working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet customer, regulatory, and technical standards.

 

EC&I Engineers– The Role:

  • Supporting the tendering process, reviewing specifications, and preparing deviation lists
  • Selecting electrical components and preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for skid packages
  • Producing and maintaining detailed EC&I documentation (P&IDs, instrument lists, I/O lists, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams)
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and ISO3834 quality systems
  • Preparing FAT and SAT documentation and supporting test activities
  • Liaising with internal teams — including sales, production, and purchasing — to deliver projects on time and to specification

 

EC&I Engineers– The Person:

  • Degree or HND qualified in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar design or project engineering role
  • Confident working within highly regulated industries (e.g. Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence)
  • Familiarity with ATEX and machinery safety standards desirable
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other electrical design software (training can be provided)
  • Additional PLC software knowledge would be advantageous
  • UK passport preferred (due to the nature of project work - ability to obtain SC required)

 

The core element of this role is electrical design, however should you have additional PLC Software ability that would be advantageous.
