Machine Tool Applications Engineer  - The Role:

• Write and optimise CNC programs (Siemens 840 preferred).
• Set up and run grinding/machining processes for customer sample parts.
• Develop processes to reduce cycle times and improve machine performance.
• Install NC standard cycles and carry out machine functional testing.
• Support pre-delivery inspections and full customer installations on-site.
• Deliver operator training and provide global after-sales technical support.
• Work closely with the sales team on time studies, tooling, and technical input.
• Contribute to product improvement and development projects.

Machine Tool Applications Engineer  - The Person:

• Experienced in CNC programming and setting (3–5 axis, Siemens controls preferred).
• Skilled in reading component drawings and working to tight tolerances.
• Knowledgeable in grinding (threads, worms, gears) – desirable but not essential.
• Confident with machine installation, testing, and training.
• Flexible to travel internationally to customer sites.
• Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Competent with office IT systems and technical documentation.

Located in the Coventry area, this role would be commutable from Redditch, Stratford upon Avon, Bromsgrove, Evesham, Warwick and surrounding areas.
