Our client, a leading company in automation technology, is on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. Mechanical Design Engineer

£30,000 - £50,000 DOE + Bonus + Health + Pension + 29 days holiday

Mechanical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Design and develop new automation solutions and existing components/products
• Conceptualize new special-purpose machinery, focusing on efficiency and innovation
• Produce detailed designs and system layouts
• Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BoMs)
• Oversee the design and delivery of select customer projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time
• Occasionally travel to customer sites across the UK, Europe, and the USA

• Working in 3D primarily (Auto Desk Inventor)

Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Experience in special-purpose machinery design (ideal)
• Mechanical engineering degree or at least 3 years of CAD drafting experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• A self-starter with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
• A positive, solution-oriented attitude, with a passion for engineering and design

Located in Gloucestershire, this role would be commutable from Cheltenham, Worcester, Gloucester and Evesham.
